Whizz Kids

What better way to celebrate uncle George's birthday than with a picnic in the park with her cousins. Mini was wearing her gorgeous red and white gingham sundress from Little Koala with its matching knickers and red bow for the occasion. She has this uncanny knack of doing that Roman'esque lounging thing. she weirdly lies on her side, propping her body up with her elbow and then proceeds to eat a rice cake whilst lounging. super bizarre but perfect picnic style.

On our way home this afternoon, we stopped by Natalie and her eldest daughter Grace, who kindly gave Mini a ride in her Barbie style electric jeep. Talk about a Malibu ride, we strapped her in and she whizzed around, circuit after circuit squeeling with delight.

Go Get'em Cowgirl

Yee Hah Cowgirl! Phin and Mini were invited to Alex's wild west party so we obviously went checked shirt crazy. There is nothing our household loves more than a good old soft brushed cotton checked shirt reeking of the rugged outdoors. But of course they're more fashion than that. Tom has a penchant for RRL by Ralph Lauren and Uniqlo does a great low cost range in a whole host of colours. I of course am obsessed with Isabel Marant's form fitting ones in off beat colours, while Phin's generally come from Bonton or The Gap. Mini's back in her red gingham sundress this time accessorized with a cowboy hat and sheriff's badge to kick some fashion butt. 

And here is Phin's pal Jagger rocking her red cowboy boots like a true professional. We only wish she wore them more. She's paired them with a cherry red cowgirl hat and fuschia and navy checked sundress from Caramel. Heavenly.

Mini's checking out where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be living now they've tied the knot. Well actually we were there watching my godsons play footie, but not a bad place or palace for that matter, to kick a ball around on a Sunday morning. Mini's wearing a gorgeous red and white checked sundress from Little Koala courtesy of Chuck and Margo in Idaho and a red chunky knit cardigan from Bonton. I do love a check. Gingham's small squares or a chunkier tablecloth i'm a fan of any style, Phin owns a whole cart-full of shirts in different colours and checks and mini isn't far behind on that front. Am i getting inspiration from Christopher Kane or even Dolce and Gabbana, possibly but it may just be because it reminds me of the outfits my mother dressed me in and i'm getting all nostalgic, no matter, she sure looks cute as a button

Finn and Min

Today it's Finn and Mini on fashion file. Not big bro Phin but cousin Finn Nuala who has come over from Germany to spend time with us. Both my little ones adore their older cousin and she dotes on them too. Today mini is gearing up for the heat in her rose print short baby grow. It's too cute for words with frills and bows and a matching short sleeve rose bud Cardigan and comes courtesy of the ever thoughtful Chuck and Margo in the USA.
