Go go kitty ears!

Mini went for her last swim lesson today with BF Aurelia. They love each other so obsessively that each of them chants the others name repeatedly on the car journey over like a bizarre mantra. Of course once they lock eyes it's all grabbing each others biscuit and screaming in a high pitch yelp.
Their competitiveness certainly helps their swimming with each one trying to out do each others backstroke kicking and humpty dumpty dives.
Post swim mini put on her bros old Bonpoint grey skinnies and ugg boots (kindly inherited before him from cousin Gigi), her hand knitted lilac sweater from Penny and a liberty print neckerchief. The piece de la resistance was her Hello kitty earmuffs, her Christmas gift from Aurelia. Her BF certainly knows how to give good gift.

Loving Lavender

Minis gone all tonal today with her lavender ensemble. She's comfy and casual in her plum leggings from xxxxx, her gorgeous lilac hand knit from mini's maternity nurse Penny, topped off with a Liberty print bandana, purple bow and Aubergine frilled socks. I think thats every purple Pantene colour ticked.

Curiosity killed the Cat

Mini's hitting that stage where everything is a wonder. Yank on mummy's necklace lets see what happens... Pull down that coffee cup, lets see what happens, open that cupboard - what's inside? Lets pull it all out into a pile on the floor and hurl things about! Yay! This is such fun. Following Mini round the house is rather akin to a tornado hitting our house. I'm exhausted just clearing up after her.
I just want a peek...
I know you're all yelling where are the child locks! My response is, Phin never did this! And they're going on today.
Mini is wearing an old favourite before she bursts its seams, her raspberry stitch hand-knit sweater from her maternity nurse Penny. We loved its girlie frilled edges and ornate stitching like puckered up raspberries. We've teamed it with her cherry tomato fine cords from Bonpoint which are also a tad too snug with a new red polka dot bow from H&M from the lovely Bel.
Mini loves riding her pony (well Phin's actually from their grandparents) but he never really got the hang of the whole swaying forward and backwards to make it move. Mini on the other hand is a vigorous rider who enjoys galloping across the bedroom with haste and glee.

Mini the Muncher

Something rather lovely arrived in the post this morning and of course we had to put it straight on. Mini's maternity nurse Penny who is a creative tour de force whether it be stitching liberty lavender bags, quilting gorgeous clothes hangers, embroidering wallhangings and knitting the most beautiful cardigans and sweaters. This is a new lilac version of a cream one Mini already has and its sublime. The colour is a true lilac and we love the frilled edges and the little buttons are a perfect fit. We've paired it with her mushroom quilted cords from The Gap, grey poloneck from Bonpoint and lavender tights from makie.

Meanwhile Mini thoroughly enjoyed her brioche at inga's today

What a Luvie

What an actress! Joyful, angry, overwhelmed Mini is showcasing her whole range of emotions for the camera. Oscar here she comes...

Today Mini is wearing her gorgeous hand knitted cream sweater by Penny with a cream faux fur gilet and indigo denims from The Gap and a white wing collared body by Bonpoint. Winter white is always fresh and feminine and is perfect for trying to add a little elegance to such a grey day.

Fancy Frills

We all love something that no one else can get their mitts on, and Mini is no exception. Hand knits are the perfect way to own something unique and individual. But of course you need someone capable of creating gorgeous one-offs. Mini is blessed with two such people. The first being her grandma Eve whose creations have graced most of the pictures here on her blog. The other is Mini's maternity nurse Penny who knitted her this wonderful confection complete with frilled cuffs and hem and little heart shaped pearl buttons along the shoulder. We have teamed it with a peter pan collar body with pale pink and beige polka dots and co-ordinating cords with contrast flannel turn ups and grey lace frilled socks.
