Lemony snicket

I love a pop of neon even in the winter and minis new citrus baby cords from J Crew are heaven. We paired down the look with a white lace Bonpoint blouse and Makie silver felt gilet and lime green bow.

Shoes shoes shoes!

I was in the highly privileged position yesterday to get a sneak peek at the V&A's collection of vintage shoes. It was the small beginnings of an exhibition of a show they are hoping to bring to the public in March 2015! So this was a real pre preview!

Check out the bath shoes from the Ottoman Empire. They are inlaid with mother of pearl and are so high do that the feet were away from the heated floor.
There were Chinese slippers from the Manchu dynasty with a linen platform or the Ferragamo rainbow wedges made for Judy Garland in 1938.
What a treat!

Memory Lane

Mini was on top form this morning in her new Caramel checked flannel dress. Not that she needs anymore clothing with all the wonderful things I picked up in last years sales plus the generous hand-me-downs from friends and family but I couldn't help myself. The oversized checks and the soft flannel fabric, Peter Pan collar and front pockets reminded me of my own childhood and the dresses my mum used to dress me in. A lovely walk down memory lane.

Ice Age

We took the kids to see Ice Age Live today. And I don't know who had more fun, Phin and Mini were riveted by the giant mammoth, Sid the sloth and Diego the sabre tooth tiger skating around on ice plus trapeze artists and acrobats. Too much fun.

Green haired monster

Phin got to celebrate Halloween a day late today at school and as a special treat he got to try out a crazy hairstyle. Boy did we have fun with the green spray paint and hair gel.

Peter Rabbit

The Gap are also launching a special Peter Rabbit collaboration next season with the sweetest knitted hats of Peter Rabbit and Jemima puddle duck, printed bodies and even a new tale of Beatrix Potter's mischievous hero Peter Rabbit written by the actress Emma Thompson. The perfect tale for new little rascals.

Bright Floral

I went to The Gap press day today to check out their new S/S collection. i was so excited by their kids wear for next season, especially all the bright printed denim.
Mini's going to have a ball with mixing up these 80's inspired printed floral denim in different shades and prints. I'm sure I had something similar when I was a teen!
