Little Elf

Yes, yes, its not December yet but we're getting into the spirit with Mini's Christmas sweater look. I'm afraid i'm a sucker for seasonal sweaters and chunky knits, so you'll see a fair few in the coming months. Today Mini is looking mightily festive in a stone and red cardigan with matching tassel hat, cherry red cords and white frilled shirt from Bonpoint with red ballet shoes from Baby Bloch

These boots are made for walking...

Well, they are not quite made for walking, but these shearling booties i picked up at a market in Germany are the perfect accessory for keeping Mini's feet toasty. Her khaki pants from Bonpoint, a cranberry and grey striped t-shirt (a great hand-me-down from Karen's boys) and an emerald green pom pom cardigan both from Caramel hits a perfect note for casual Sunday dressing.

Phin also wrapped up snug on Sunday in his chunky grey Aztec knit cardigan and matching hat from Bonpoint, denim shirt from Gap, grey tracksuit pants from Cos and chocolate Ugg boots

Little Star

I think this might be the last time mini wears her hand-knitted pink cardigan that she was given by her grandma Eve when she was born. She has been through such a growth spurt that its no longer a cardigan anymore, its more of a bolero! She's wearing it with her forest green star-burst pants from Caramel and a cream peasant blouse from Marie-Chantal

Big Enid

This is Big Enid, Mini's wrestling and sleep companion. She did have a little Enid but now she's been upgraded to a big girl's cot bed, little Enid tends to get lost in the vastness. She is so super soft and from Jellycat at The Little White Company. They really do the best soft toys.

Today Mini is wearing her indigo blue cowslip print tablecloth dress from Ralph Lauren with a wing collar body from Bonpoint and a coordinating cardigan from Gap. A vision in crisp ink and white perfect for those chilly blue skies.

Winter Bloomer

I love shorts in winter, especially if you've got the legs for them and Mini's little chubba thighs showcase them beautifully. These lilac herringbone bloomers with bow detail are from Zara and come courtesy of the lovely Marta, Phin's old nanny. Mini was given them last night and i was so excited i promptly styled up this outfit then and there. We've paired them with a stone ribbed tight also from Zara, leaf print shirt from gap, grey poloneck body from Bonpoint and tan brogues and olive bow from Marie Chantal.

Here is our little leprechaun or sugar snap superhero as i like to think of Phin. Dressed here in his favourite colour for his nursery's Rainbow day in aid of the Snowflake School. All from american Apparell, trainers from Stella for Gap

Bonnie Birthday

Little Mini is six months today! Boy has that flown by in a nano second. To mark her half year anniversary Mini is a vision in Ombré. Or degradé as the French say. Her knitted capped sleeve dress from Bonpoint starts in the softest of mink grey at the neckline and gradually gets darker towards the hem. Keeping her toasty is her aubergine poloneck, grey ribbed tights from Zara and suede booties from Caramel.

Shades of Grey

I'm back from my fashion trip, but my styling prowess doesn't stop there, its straight back into mini's fashion file.  And today she's wearing a rose print frilled collar shirt and charcoal grey flannel pants with a rose pink poloneck underneath, all from Bonpoint and a antique lilac knit waistcoat from Bonton. I love that the shirt has such a delicate and feminine print but its in shades of grey and black. quite harsh colours for a baby but a perfect foil with a florid print.

The Red girls bought this Anya Hindmarch silver leather wallet and had it wonderfully personalised when Phin was born.  And although it didn't get the most use when i had him, its certainly come in handy for Mini. As you can see i need no encouragement when shopping at this store.

Jet Setter

No Mini is not jet setting to sunnier climes, instead its mummy's turn to fly off on her first fashion shoot for Red after Mini's birth, but you can bet that when she does it will be in the chicest way possible. Thanks to the divine Carolyn, a fellow fashionista, Mini has a liberty print suitcase with wood and metal trim from uber cool Parisian boutique Merci. Heaven. Today she's wearing an aubergine tablecloth check shirt and crochet waistcoat from Bonpoint, mushroom fine quilted cords from Gap and sneaker socks from Dolly and Dimples

Mummy may not be home but that doesn't mean Mini won't be stylish as ever. An outfit is laid out on her change table for each day i'm away.

Fancy Frills

We all love something that no one else can get their mitts on, and Mini is no exception. Hand knits are the perfect way to own something unique and individual. But of course you need someone capable of creating gorgeous one-offs. Mini is blessed with two such people. The first being her grandma Eve whose creations have graced most of the pictures here on her blog. The other is Mini's maternity nurse Penny who knitted her this wonderful confection complete with frilled cuffs and hem and little heart shaped pearl buttons along the shoulder. We have teamed it with a peter pan collar body with pale pink and beige polka dots and co-ordinating cords with contrast flannel turn ups and grey lace frilled socks.

Tiny Tartan

I love a bit of tartan come winter. I never understood why the Americans call it plaid nor why thy then pronounce it plad. But there you go. This little number is from Bonton and has a front pocket, not that there's much for mini to stash in there. Gap tights and her favourite red ballerinas from Baby Bloch.

Snug as a Bug

Snug as a bug in a rug, or a pale pink eiderdown jacket with fleece lining as in Mini's case. On such a crisp cold morning, this super adorable a-line down jacket from Gap came in handy. It has a pouffed hem-line and comes with matching mittens and a hood with little bear ears.

Underneath all that Mini is a vision in dove grey. The cardigan, trapeze top (it was a dress a few months ago) and the baby cords are all from Bonpoint, thank you Auntie Marika, Renate and big bro Phin, bow from ilovegorgeous and the booties are super soft grey fleece slippers from The Little White Company. Chicer than an Ugg, non?

Princess Buttercup

"She's a princess," exclaimed Phin, who is currently obsessed with all things Disney. My brothers used to try and tease me by calling me Princess Buttercup from the cult classic film The Princess Bride. I was secretly thrilled, i mean who didn't want to look like Robin Wright at the time?

And indeed Mini is a true princess in her pink tulle confection from Gap. It was so gorgeous i have to admit i promptly bought another in a bigger size. It comes with matching pink satin pants and we teamed it, thanks to the lovely Lima, with a stone fine knit cardigan from C de C.

Attack of the Chicest bear ever! Mini loves her linen teddy bear. It has a pretty cotton bow and her name and date of birth is embroidered on each foot. A gift from the girls at Chanel, its too chic for words.

California Gurl

Mini's wearing her heart on her sleeve. She may not be old enough to be a surfer chick just yet, instead she is pining for our dear friend Daisy and playpal Woody who have been gone too long. Enjoying that California sunshine a little too much!  Her t-shirt is a hand-me-down from big bro Phin as are the sneaker socks. Trackie hareem pants are from Stella at Gap and ribbed red cardi from Bonton. Perfect for chilling out on a lazy Saturday.

Phin was feeling a little left out of the whole 'lets take another picture of mini thing'. He normally runs a mile from a camera but here he is beaming and ready to rock into nursery wearing his navy pea-coat from Cos, aqua and cream intarsia sweater from Caramel and pale grey baggy-style jeans from Gap

Pom Pom Pretty

Yes it may still be November, but Mini's already getting into the festive spirit. Her big brother is so desperate for Santa to come, that Mini is giving him some Christmas cheer in the form of her clothes. Does she look like a Christmas tree in all that green? Possibly. But who cares. We are loving her forest green wool cardigan with pom poms worn with her bottle green hareem pants decorated with pink and cream star bursts, both from Caramel. Ballet socks from Petit Aime. Yes drop crotch pants really do work on babies, sort of like modern pantaloons, and they disguise all that nappy bulk. On second thought maybe this outfit is a last swansong for firework night. Needless to say it was a hit when we had breakfast with fashion designer Jenny Packham this morning.

Feeling Blue

Oh my what a day! So dreary we're feeling kind of blue. Indigo blue to be exact. Mini is all Gap'ed out today in their baggy style jeans with grey marle turn-ups, navy and white checked ruffle fronted shirt and blanket stitch cardigan, topped off with a bigger blue bow from MC

Mini x2

Mini insisted on being photographed today with her alter ego Minnie Mouse, her gift from little Alice. Our little Mini is finally getting taller than her fellow pink shoe wearing accomplice and today she is sporting a floral sprig smocked dress from Marks and Spencer. In fact her grandma loved it so much she bought her another for next summer too. It has that 1950's Enid Blyton/Milly Molly Mandy feel to it and we've teamed it with a hot pink Bonpoint cardi, ballet tights from Gap and hairband from Cos. We love Cos but unfortunately their clothes only start from age 2 so lucky for us hair accessories don't have an age limit.

Fendi Feet

Today our friend Anya came over to give me a much needed sassy new-mum haircut, Mini of course had to showcase Anya's generosity by wearing the cosy dusky rose knitted romper by Bonpoint she had given her. She teamed it with even something i don't have! A pair of Fendi shoes. A gift from my cousin Cherry, but then what else would an ultra chic Milanese give her?

Working Girl

So Mini had her first taste of work when she visited the Red offices today. But what to wear to such a fashionable establishment? She plumped for her black and white gingham wool dress from Bonpoint. We love the bow detail and the puffed cap sleeves. She paired it with her brick red tights and poloneck combo for a more daywear feel with leather brogues and burgundy bow from Marie Chantal.

As you can see mini is hard at work going through her rail, her favorite choice was the Liberty print shell top by Caramel

Sunday Best

Mini's in her Sunday Best - although to be honest, everyday is best, what with such a fab wardrobe to rival any fashion editor, me included! Today she's in an emerald green cotton dress from Belgian label Maan, thanks to lovely Kate W. It has wonderful running stitch detail along the neckline and cuffs and cute little side pockets. Mini is wearing it with an aubergine poloneck from Bonpoint and grey ribbed tights from Zara. Most children boutiques stock this style of tights in quirky colours but at a steep price. Lucky for us Zara have introduced them, unfortunately they sell out fast.

Stellatastic

Stella McCartney has just launched her own label kids range and as you'd expect its rather fab. Similar to the stuff she designed for Gap, its quirky and fun and doesn't take itself too seriously plus she hasn't gone mental with the prices. We picked up two pairs of skinny jeans for Phin but we couldn't leave without getting something for our little fashionista! Unfortunately the items available for her age are little paired down for our fashion tastes, so we plumped for this fantastic floral print striped t-shirt which mini's wearing as a dress, paired with her cotton knitted rose leggings from Stella for Gap, Pom Pom booties courtesy of the Simpsons and a salmon pink grosgrain bow from ilovegorgeous

There's no place like home...

Today mini finally fits her godmummy Emma's gift. A delectable Liberty print dress from Bonton. It has beautiful scalloped sleeves and a square neckline and is in red, duck egg blue and slate. Worn with a hand knitted cardigan from Grandma Eve, aqua bow from Marie Chantal, Gap cream tights and red leather ballet flats.
We've already been out and about today and these ballet flats from Baby Bloch have been garnering quite a few gasps. I don't know whether its a Wizard of Oz Dorothy Red shoe thing but they are causing quite a sensation. We got ours from Petit Aime however Fenwick stocks them too and the great thing is they are easy to slip on and the elastic band keeps them firmly in place.

Tomboy cool

Mini's sporting some of her big brother's hand-me-downs today. The striped leggings were a gift to him from Kate S and have held up incredibly well, as has his sage green Petit bateau t-shirt. The chunky knit is a new addition from Bonpoint as are the little red ballerinas. Giving her tomboy look a feminine edge.

Mix'n Match

Today we've got a whole hotch-potch of labels going on. We were inspired by Michelle Obama and her mixing up of high end and high street. So to that end, Mini is wearing a Bonton cheesecloth trapeze top over acid yellow knitted leggings from Stella for Gap and an indigo cotton cardi from Gap,  accessorised with socks from Zara and her new bow from Marie Chantal

Linen lover

Eva from chic children's boutique Caramel generously gifted Mini this understated stone linen gathered front dress. Linen may be a summer staple but paired with this brick red polo neck and co-ordinating tights it becomes the perfect transitional piece.

Autumn Leaves

I love this autumnal leaf print shirt from Gap, the colours are off-beat but still feminine and the smocked neckline is a cute detail. I'm also loving Bonpoint's new style of pant. They are tapered at the ankle and have a simple cotton ribbon as a belt (which mini likes to chew on unfortunately!) She also has a pair in grey flannel which are being coveted by mums everywhere, i've not found an adult version, yet...
