Blizzarding

Wow what crazy weather conditions we've been having the past few days. Really stormy and loads of snow. But that hasn't stopped Phin from tackling the slopes nor from mini looking stylish in her gap legging and t combo and fleece gilet. She happily kissed her uncle George and charmed our waitress into giving her loads of biscuits.

Where's min?

I'm afraid there's no mini in today's fashion file. Dont worry, She's busy sledging and running round the hotel with her baby. But it's hard to pin her down for a photo. Instead there are more snaps of us en piste. Phin enjoyed his morning skiing with his big bear of a teacher Pierre who in two sessions has managed to get him to snow plough down the mountain. Tom and I also made an intrepid ski tour from 3000m down to 1020m through virgin snow and vertiginous forests. But the best was when we ended up in the village of Langwies at the home of our ski guide Dominic and relaxed in his hot tub surrounded by snow capped mountains. Now that's a first.

Snow much fun

We are all still having snow much fun in Arosa. Uncle George has flown over from Tel Aviv (the snow conditions was too enticing to pass up) and he took papa and I for some excellent off piste skiing around Schwellisee. I was super proud of toms technique. He's become one hell of a skier. Check out my tracks below (his are just as good).
After dinner we took Phin and mini night sledging. Phin had a blast, mini was less impressed. She threw a fit half way down and wanted to walk down the mountain. The bumps were freaking her out so I plied her with sweets and sang jingle bells very loudly all the way down. Seemed to do the trick. And at least she now has one more song to add to her repertoire of happy birthday and twinkle twinkle.

Bowlerama

Phin and mini celebrated their last evening with cousins Rebecca, max and Oscar with a round of 'kegeln'. A Bowling of sorts but with wider lanes and bigger balls. They ran up and down the lane, hurling, rolling and throwing their balls. Phin could just about pick his up while mini totally believed she could. Thank heavens Rebecca was there to literally lend a hand and mini was non the wiser. Decked out in her Ralph reindeer dress and Phin in his Ralph checked lumberjack flannel shirt, gap skinnies and Dandy Star cowboy T they looked the part even if they didn't score quite as well.

En famille

Here's our little family on new years eve. What a treat to get a family portrait as a gift from the Kulm Hotel. Finally a picture of all four of us together.

Phin catches some zzz's

Phin went skiing with us in the afternoon but after a long night partying he was well and truly pooped and chose to pass out on his way up to 3000m. So papa soaked up the sun in his uniqlo navy puffa while Phin caught some zzzzz's. Perfect way to spend the first day of 2012.
