Blue Jean Girl

Mini is flexing a totally on trend look today at her Blueberry music class. Inspired by her mum's denim all-in-one by Isabel Marrant, Mini is sporting a light weight chambray jumpsuit from The Gap. It has a ruffled neckline giving it a 70's Charlie's Angels flair and I'm sure it will become a summer staple.

Mini on the Move

Mini is desperately trying to crawl, and she's on the move - albeit going backwards at a snails pace. We've uploaded a small video of her backward shuffle - click on the video link above to check her out! 

Mini is getting some early use out of her Stella reindeer sweater dress. The smallest size it came in was a 2 and of course i couldn't help myself so we've just rolled up the sleeves and she's loving the cosy snugness. Not to be left out, Phin got the coordinating sweater too. We don't do matchy matchy very often but this sweater definitely called for it.

Bow Baby

Mini's tresses are growing, albeit rather slowly. Still at least there's enough hair for her to sport her large array of bows. Most of which come from either Marie-Chantal or ilovegorgeous. We've gotten so used to her wearing them that without she looks almost naked or at the very least underdressed! They have a simple metal slide concealed by a grosgrain or cotton coloured bow and simply slide into the hair. There's no clicking so you don't have to worry about pressing too hard against their soft skulls. And they come in three different sizes. Mini mostly has the smallest but also has four mediums like today. The largest are absolutely glorious but really do need more hair! We keep Mini's locks in shape with her natural bristle hand painted hair brush from Nursery Window, a beautifully practical gift from our lovely friend Natalie. Today Mini has been preparing for her Papoo's 82nd birthday and she's chosen a Liberty print dress and gunmetal grey cardigan from Bonton with her red Baby Bloch ballet shoes 

Pretty in Pink

Mini is having a bit of a party weekend. Today she is joining big bro Phin at Bea's 3rd birthday party. All their  friends from Kindergarten will be there and Mini likes nothing better than joining in. And today she's wearing her antique pink satin and tulle dress by The Gap with her beige C de C cardigan and her new party tights by Trumpette especially for the occasion.  They were a gorgeous gift from cool baby and mother boutique Blossom. They are white with pale pink ballet shoes and ribbon wrapping around her leg and are the perfect accessory for any party dress.

Cooking up a storm

Mini is on fine form today. Her appetite has returned and she had her first cooking lesson with her brother Phin who's a real pro already. We had a big bake-off in preparation for Papoo's birthday tea this Sunday and Phin was desperate to bake him a double chocolate cake and cookies from The Hummingbird bakery Cookbook. Mini wore her grey mini cords, bird print shirt and matching neck scarf and olive cardigan from Bonpoint to do the job.

So the main contribution Phin makes is adding ingredients to the mixer and then tasting the contents every time it stops. somehow Mini got hold of the whisk (she has far reaching fingers) and it ended up in her mouth complete with choco pudding. Talk about blissed out. She was non too pleased when her Mama spotted it and promptly whisked it away. 

Waterbaby

After swimming Mini runs up a huge appetite, although hairbrushes are maybe not the most nutritious they certainly help her teething. Mini swam with her best bud Noah today. These waterbabies had the best time. Post swim Mini put on her tartan smock dress by Bonton accented with a White cotton collared body from Bonpoint, white tights by the Gap and large cotton bow from Marie Chantal.

Peek-a-Boo

Mini loves playing peek-a-boo with her papa. She's all smiles for him this week, especially as she has two new teeth to show off. Yes finally at eight and a half months Mini has gotten her first two teeth. They have just started poking through and she's much happier now. Its also one of the reasons we didn't post yesterday. She's been prone to quite a few poo'tastrophies of late and its been scuppering our blog. She's back on fine form today in an old Bonpoint shirt from big bro, her grey flannel pants (a little snug if you ask me but i do love them so) and her teal zig-zag edged cardigan from Grandma Eve.
