Football fan

We may have been preparing to welcome in Yom Kippur and a day of fasting but Mini was busy kicking a ball around with my two godsons Charlie & Theo. Phin and mini idolise them and what could be more fun than scoring goals with the big boys. Mini was obviously dressed for the part in her Stella for Gap tutu skirt, Phins old Bonpoint sweater and her brand new leopard ballerinas from Zara and a big piece of honey cake in her hand.

Micro Mini

Mini got given the cutest dress the other day from BF Ray Ray. She was so excited to put it on and accessorised with the necklace she'd made with Ray on Monday. Ray's mum Ari found it in France and it's taupe with pale pink stars, the motif of the season. And although its mega short we couldn't help but showcase those thighs with her Zara knee high socks.

Giddy up

Giddy up little pony. Mini is excited about visiting her Grandma Eve and Papow this weekend, especially as she will get to ride on the real deal - Phins Shetland Lulu McPherson.
Galloping in style today Mini wore her chestnut baby cords from Stella McCartney an old white frilled Bonpoint blouse from Grace and Alice and Phins old striped cashmere sweater from Bonpoint. It's expensive stuff but it wears well so even though Mini is often third in the receiving line the stuff, it still looks new. The necklace is all Mini, she chose all the beads herself.

Cousins galore

We've popped over to germany to see my omi and lots of cousins and the kids have had great fun hanging out together and getting into mischief.
There have been high jinks at the park and on the stenna stair lift and we all enjoyed the Casperle Theatre, a German version of Punch and Judy.

Grease Lightning

Mini is having an Olivia Newton-John moment with her new Guess biker jacket. A gift from our nanny SJ it came all the way from America. Mini's wearing it with her Bonpoint skinnies, Stella leopard t-shirt and Zara fluoro trainers. Go grease lightning!

Fashion week Finale

So fashion week finally ended. It certainly was a stellar week with fantastic shows from Christopher Kane and Erdem to Jonathan Saunders and Mary Katranzou. Two of my favourites were Clements Ribeiro and Preen. I'm
Just itching to start ordering.
On the final day I wore my Clements lace skirt, gap denim shirt, JCrew necklace, Stella heels and Anya Hindmarch glitter bag.
And to round off the week Tom and whizzed down to the BFC's party. Me in Natalie's suction Stella and Tom in his new custom made leather biker jacket by temple of Jawnz.
And the last pic is from Netaporter who captured me and good friend Tania in brocade outside the shows.

Little pumpkin

Autumn is coming so we've gone all literal with our colour palette.
These tobacco cords from Stella that I picked up in the sale aeons ago, finally fit. Talk about skinny.
Minis wearing them with her Bonton choc checked blouse and pumpkin ribbed cardi. I think they're 18 months but somehow you can eek Bonton out a bit. Her mushroom spring courts from Phin finally fit too. She's sure growing up this chick.

Happy New Year

Happy New year to all our fashion file friends and followers. We celebrated Roshashana with plenty of sweet things, with Mini in her Stella 1880's style handkerchief dress embracing the giant meringues with gusto.

Lfw

london fashion week kicked off this fri and I started off slowly with a few choice shows including Zoe Jordan and Sass and Bide. I wore my cobalt blue pants from LA thanks to My LA style sister Suzy worn with my navy Stella blazer, James perse t, Russell & Bromley brogues, Soeur fedora and Anya Hindmarch clutch.
Day 2 and it was my eponymous dress by Clements Ribeiro. If you have a dress named after you, you better well wear it. I wore it with patent gladiator heels from Bottega, a checked trench from 3.1 Philip lim and a Celine bag. Mini came to a few shows in the afternoon including Todd Lynn and Rag and Bone but we missed Holly Fulton due to her disco nap in the car. It's a tough life being a fashionista.

Pj heaven

There's nothing I like more than freshly washed kids and clean pj's. And now that my two terrors have grown new pyjamas were in order. Off to the little white company who do my favourite sets of brushed cotton in floral sprigs and gingham. And you know me, I can't keep away from a little matchy matchy.

Jackie Oh!

Mini can't help raiding my cupboard and today my Asos sunglasses ended up playing a staring role in her outfit. Gap flares and Chloe beige striped swing jacket made for a cool 70's vibe.

Surprise

The kids got a very special surprise this week when Sarah-Jane our German nanny gave them their Schul Tasche. A tradition in Germany where you make a giant paper cone and fill it with gifts from sweets to school must haves. Phin and Mini were clearly proud.

Cow Girl

Yee-ha! The start of starwberry fields is going well. We are loving this little number, it comes courtesy of Kristin our New York friend and recessionista blogger. It's by Ralph Lauren and is in the lightest chambray with a flirty ruffle. Cute little cow girl.

Party Princess

It was the first birthday party of one of Mini's classmates. I very rarely buy mini party dresses because she gets so many hand me downs from cousins and friends but this delicate glitter number from French label CdeC is heavenly especially with her JCrew glitter bow hair band. Party Princess indeed.

Dressing up

My kids have finally gotten into the idea of dressing up. And although they've got the whole gamut of superhero costumes, my favourite is when they make do with what they have and become inventive - like when Phin used his ski hat and mittens, baby blanket and underpants to re create Batman.
Today things were a little simpler. They were simply dressing up as Mummy and Daddy Pig from Peppa Pig.

Phin's First Day

Today was Phin's first day at 'Big' school. He was so excited, he couldn't stop jumping around all morning. He was up early and itching to put on his new uniform. Of course being at a British prep school means shorts even in Winter. Oh these hardy Brits! At least he gets knee socks and a tweed winter coat once the temperature drops. How handsome does he look?

We're off and ready to go

On the school steps and about to meet his class

A firm handshake with Mr Snell his headmaster

Just hanging by my clothes peg

Phin and half his class (the rest have their first day tomorrow)

Minis first day!

Today was Minis first day of kindergarten and although it was only half an hour to meet all her teachers she dressed for the occasion in her white Marie-Chantal dress. Playing in the kitchen and with playdough was the order of the day. Watch out for next week where I have to leave her there...

Clothes? Who needs them.

Mini and Phin are big fans of no clothes when it comes to summer dressing. I packed all their gorgeous clothes this summer but invariably they've just ended up naked. Case in point was today at Gracioneta beach, no sooner has we arrived than mini had pulled off her pale grey and white Marie -Chantal top and Bonton bikini bottoms in order to stand proudly naked on her Papa's back. Look at Me! She proclaimed. Indeed!

Come fly with me

Mini is packed and ready to go! Decked out in just her red and cream printed baby doll top from Marc Jacobs, a hand-me-down from friends Grace&Alice plus my Panama, Enid the Elephant and her pink wheelie, she's ready to go home. Bye bye Ibiza for another year.
